“From the moment I could talk, I was ordered to listen” are the poignant lyrics to Cat Steven’s song, Father and Son.  This piece developed from this inspiration and metamorphosed into a representation of my personal angst living in a conservative culture.  Having words and innovations inside of you but being cowed by misunderstanding and narrow thinking is a difficult path to forge.
