Drawings

As Ingres said, “Drawing is the probity of art.” Or as the french academy professed, “well drawn is well painted.” Drawing is a fundamental skill required in all great art, but for me drawing can also be a stirring final medium to work in. There is something archaic about drawing with burnt wood and creating images from raw pigment in your hand. This series of drawings goes beyond academic studies and are final works of art intended to be viewed, interpreted and enjoyed.
